Neuromuscular Therapy Massage

This massage targets specific problem areas. When affected areas are located, the therapist performs a series of static pressure manipulations and techniques. Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) techniques include trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and soft tissue manipulations. By using variable pressure on underlying muscle, the therapist stimulates and repairs soft tissue. In addition, NMT stimulates endorphin production, improving immune function, and restoring a healthy balance between the body's major systems. During the therapy session, communication between you and your Neuromuscular Massage Therapist will assist in following the neurological pathway... and in treating you and your tissues appropriately. YOU are an important part of the processes.

Deep Tissue

A medium to deep pressure massage that helps alleviate pain and increase range of motion. This therapeutic massage technique uses strategic strokes to increase circulation and release muscle tension. Your therapist will use a combination of trigger point therapy, stretching, myofacial release, sports massage, or a variety of other modalities to relieve tension caused by strain, stress and inflammation. Your therapist will apply hot towels or packs, if needed, on your body to help increase circulation and ease muscle tension increasing the effectiveness of your massage.

Swedish Massage

A full body light pressure massage designed to soothe and relax the mind and body. Melt away aches, pains, and stress with this soothing massage. Among its many benefits, Swedish massage effectively eases tension, wipes out stress and promotes deep relaxation. For stubborn stiff spots or chronic pain it may be best to request a Neuromuscular Therapy Massage or Deep Tissue Massage to provide relief, depending on the condition.

Prenatal

A light pressure massage specially created for expectant mothers. Recommended in the second and third trimesters, this session focuses on the comfort of the mother to be. Performed with you lying on your side, with pillowed support, the massage is designed to reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs, and relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints. MUST BE PAST FIRST TRIMESTER.
